This is a fun isometric twin-stick shooter set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe. You play as a Space Marine infiltrating and blowing up an Ork Kroozer while gunning down several hundred Orks along the way. The core gameplay is simple, but fun and the amount of enemies thrown at you means it never gets boring.
Unfortunately it's rather short and the odd decision not to include any online co-op leaves it somewhat lacking.

Starship Troopers (1997) review
Posted : 13 years ago on 10 March 2011 06:19 (A review of Starship Troopers (1997))Still a great film that looks incredible on Blu-Ray. Serious credit to the design and VFX people that this still looks amazing 14 years later, when so many movies from the same late 90s period cannot say the same.
The movie itself is great as well, building a world that feels real if a little ridiculous at times, though this is intentional, especially the news broadcasts which are a natural progression from Robocop.

Takers review
Posted : 13 years ago on 10 March 2011 06:17 (A review of Takers)I wasn't expecting a lot from this movie but ended up really enjoying it. Idris Elba is great as always and Paul Walker gives a good performance as the stoic second in command, who is all about getting the job done while remaining calm and in control. Even Hayden Christensen is entertaining as the young guy of the group who can handle himself surprisingly well in a fight.

"I think out of sheer practicality some of these are going to have to wait until 2012. But then of course there is all the good stuff due out next year..."
